Don't Disagree Over Disciplining Your Kids

If your spouse is harsher than you when dishing out discipline, don't challenge that in front of the kids.

It's important that we have a united front so that the kids don't play the "softer" parent against the more "stern" parent.

It's not unusual to have different parenting styles, but it's important to discuss important discipline approaches privately with each other and not in front of the kids.

Once a plan is decided, don't deviate without discussing the possible changes in advance.  If the kids play mom and dad against each other it creates a great deal of stress on the family and the marriage.

Don't fall into that trap.
