Can you believe this? The Brazilian superstar
striker and talisman, Neymar has been ruled out of the rest of the World Cup following an
injury he sustained during Brazil's quarter-final match against Colombia
yesterday. He after suffered a fractured vertebrae.
According to Brazilian team doctor, Rodrigo Lasmar, “Neymar had a scan, which confirmed he had fractured his third vertebra. It's not serious in the sense that it doesn't need surgery, but he’s in pain and he’ll need to immobilize it to recover. He’ll have to have it immobilized with a belt for a few weeks to be able to get back to full mobility. Unfortunately, he's not going to be able to play." he said.

the apprehensive Brazilians through Brazil's SportTV.
Neymar’s injury
was a result of his collision with another player. The Brazilian poster boy was
carried off in tears on a stretcher towards the end of their 2-1 victory over
Colombia. His injury effectively rules him out of Tuesday's semi-final against
Germany since he would be sidelined up to a month.
