Husband Drugs Wife And Induced Her To Have Anal Sex

Marriage is a place for enjoying sex between two partners who love each other and submit their bodies to each other in consenting love, to please each other.

But where is the limit of consenting sex in marriage? Can a person be raped by his/her spouse?
A couple’s marriage in Lagos, Nigeria is now engulfed in crisis as the husband was reported to have raped his wife.

The man demanded to have anal sex with his wife, but she declined to oblige him. Yes, she wanted sex too; but not through the anus. But his husband wouldn’t give his urge and he devised a plan to force his “beloved” wife to yield to his desire.

The man returned the next day with a bottle of wine, perhaps to make peace with his wife, and when he retired with his wife to the bedroom, he laced the woman’s drink with sleep inducing drugs; and she didn’t wake up until next day.

She didn’t just wake up like every other day. This time, she woke up with pains in her anus and tell tale bruises all over her body. The left over signs of penetration mixed with semen and blood in her anus was obvious she was violated and was brutalised physically too. He actually tied her up and unleashed the beast in him on the wife he married.

The woman raised alarm alarm, and the ensuing drama is that she is pressing rape charges against her husband. Yes, in Nigeria.

The many questions and issues raised here are:

  •      Why would a husband rape his wife?
  •      Could sex in whatever form between married fall into the category of rape?
  •      Can’t couples with different sex inclinations and desires simple sit down to arrive at  compromise sex positions?
  •      Is drugging the wife and bruising her body not equal to physical abuse/assault?
  •      What if the woman had died?
  •      Is there a guarantee that such a man would not repeat the act even if the couple settles their issues now?
  •      And in this case, would going to court not terminate the marriage union? Is the courts the best solution?

Marriage Alive Digest would love to hear your opinion. Many wives (and husbands too) are dieing in silent yet experiencing various degrees of sexual dysfunction in their marriage.

What is the way out? What do you think?

  1. Any woman experiencing such should seek outside help immediately. The husband could do greater damage, especially when alcoholism and drug abuse gets hold of him

  2. Just stumbled on this. Could it be the wife was sex starving her husband before now? A lot more needs to be examined here!

  3. @Bruce, even if a wife sex-starve his hubby, it is crazy to drug her under any circumstance. The man is sick.
