Simple Ways To Make Your Kids Feel Special - Like Princes And Princesses

When kids are taught right values from infancy, they grow up with right attitudes and end up being good examples to other children. At tender ages, kids can begin to prove their courage, strength, kindness, and character through if parents guide them on that path.

From the way they dress to the way they talk and act in public, you can polish your kids to become outstanding, that when they grow up and look into the mirror they can smile at what they see and be grateful to you.

When we begin by letting them know that life is beyond who their earthly parents are, but hinged on the fear of God, then be rest assured that they can walk like worthy children of their parents; children who are happy and feel loved like princes and princesses.

Here are ways you can help affirm their royalty:

1.         Welcome them with fanfare:
Dogs are known as man’s best friend because they are always thrilled to see their owners. They practically jump out of their skin in greeting them. Taking a cue from our canine pals, greet your little ones each morning with a big hug and a kiss. When you pick them up from school or at other times you have been away, let them know how happy you are to see them.

2.         Shower them with good and pleasant words:
Our words are powerful (See Proverbs 18:21). We can choose to use our words to heal, encourage, and restore our children.

Each morning send your children off to school, by speaking a blessing over them. Tell them, “You’re awesome, don’t let anyone tell you any different!” And when you tuck them into bed at night say, “I love you for who you are, not what you do. I am proud of you because you are mine.”

3.         Get into their hearts personally:   In today’s busy world it’s easy for us to get isolated from our kids. So many activities constantly keep us on the go, and while we may be seeing our kids daily, we may not necessarily be connecting with them.

Strive to spend one-on-one time with each of my kids once a month by taking them on a lunch “date”. You arrange to pick them up from school and let them choose where to go. Sometimes it could be a park or a picnic, other times it’s a new restaurant in town.

When you spend time together, make them the focus of conversation, open doors for them, and “pick up the check”. This way you also help to set a standard for the way they should treat others.

4.         Build them a fortress or a palace:
Make them to be happy at all times to come home. Truly, the world can at times be unpredictable; but make your home a place of certainty and security for your children, a place where they are free to be themselves, be heard, and respected. Maintain daily routines that your kids can count on such as a morning devotional time followed by prayer, dinner together, and reading before bed.

By laying good foundation for your children today will help them make wise choices in the future. It will make them understood their worth and value, values which they see in you, and values embedded in the fear of God.

Having More Kids May Reduce A Woman's Aging

In a time when many couples are weary and cautious of having kids and large families due to economic and other reasons, research seem to suggest the more children women have, the slower they are likely to age. And I am sure this would be good news to some women.

Observing chromosomes, scientists found that women who have more kids have longer telomeres, which helps slow the aging process.

Telomeres are caps of DNA at the end of each chromosome. Like the tips found at the end of shoelaces, telomeres protect chromosomes and their critical genetic information from damage.

Having sufficiently long telomeres is essential for cells to be able to multiply. As people age, telomeres shorten, eventually leading to cell death, according to the U.S. National Cancer Institute.

The new study by Simon Fraser University in British Columbia, Canada, included 75 women from two rural communities in Guatemala. Their telomere lengths were measured through cheek and saliva swabs taken twice 13 years apart.

The research suggested - but did not prove - that giving birth to more children was associated with a slower pace of telomere shortening and increased longevity.

These findings challenge previous research that concluded that having more children accelerates the rate of aging.

"The slower pace of telomere shortening found in the study participants who have more children, however, may be attributed to the dramatic increase in estrogen, a hormone produced during pregnancy. Estrogen functions as a potent antioxidant that protects cells against telomere shortening," said study leader Pablo Nepomnaschy, a health sciences professor from Simon Fraser.

The researchers noted that the women's social environment may have also influenced their slower rate of aging.

"The women we followed over the course of the study were from natural fertility populations where mothers who bear numerous children receive more social support from their relatives and friends," said Nepomnaschy in a university news release. "Greater support leads to an increase in the amount of metabolic energy that can be allocated to tissue maintenance, thereby slowing down the process of aging."

It is indeed the dream of the average woman to remain young and ever pretty. This may truly be possible considering the report of the study. But what is your choice? More kids? Or you stay the way you are?

Parenting – The Brad Pitt’s Challenge

A lot of celebrity couples find it hard to cope with the pressure of managing their home, especially when kids are involved. But it’s not so for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

With six children, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie sure have a tough task of keeping everyone happy, but when it comes to the food, Pitt has revealed that he has it covered.

"I'll get in there, I'll mess it up a little bit," he enthused to Extra of his cooking skills, adding: "I'm all over that turkey!"

Naturally the holiday season brings with it the opportunity to spend quality time with Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne, not to mention Jolie - life with whom he gave a rare insight in to last week.

"All my kids are so warm and they take on more than anyone could understand, more than I could ever understand," he told US Weekly.

"They absorb so much, and I love watching all my children grow and learn. And of course my wife is amazing, and I love watching her teach and grow with our kids as well, I really mean that."

Can’t Wait For Daddy - Little Girl Break Rank To Give Her Soldier Dad A Huge Hug

Little girls (and kids generally) love their daddies so when the chance comes to give them a massive hug, they’re going to take it.

That is exactly what this adorable girl does as her father, Lieutenant Daniel Ogelsby, took part in a homecoming ceremony.

Lt Ogelsby, a member of the 3rd Armoured Brigade Combat Team in Fort Carson, Colorado, was standing in line when his daughter burst out of her mother’s arms.

Footage from the ceremony shows the tot running as fast as she could to her daddy, unable to wait any longer for a much-needed hug.

Lt Ogelsby reached down to hug his proud daughter before sending her back to her mum.

He told KKTV11 after the ceremony: “She spotted me from a couple of rows back.

“She couldn’t contain herself.

“I wasn’t going to tell her no.”

No one gets in the way of a girl who wants a hug!

Woman Becomes Grandma at 29

A 29-year-old woman in Russia is now officially the country’s youngest grandma.

The woman, Natalia Knyazkova, had her own daughter when she was 14 years old, and her daughter gave birth to a baby boy at the same age.

"History has repeated itself; she has followed my footsteps,” the grandma told Central European News. “We are also very happy to finally have a boy [in the family], as I have four daughters."

The head of the obstetrics department of the hospital where the little boy was born expressed that Knyazkova’s daughter has a world of responsibility at a very young age.

“I think 14 is a really early age to give birth, especially due to the fact the girl’s body is still not fully formed,” said Lyudmila Rodnikova.

The family lives in Bor, located in western Russia.

Last year, a 12-year-old girl and 13-year-old boy became Britain's youngest parents. They reportedly had been in a longterm relationship, and the grandparents were "incredibly supportive," according to The Sun.

The couple conceived when the then-elementary schoolgirl was 11 years old, according to the report. The girl's parents didn't realize she had been pregnant.
